Corned Beef And Cabbage

Ingredients
- flat corned beef brisket
- 1 onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 6 whole cloves
- bay leaves
- 1 tsp. rosemary
- 1 green pepper
- parsley
- 3 peppercorns (or pepper)
- 3 or 4 carrots
- potatoes
- 1 small head cabbage
Directions

1Rinse corned beef and put in a large pot.

2Cover well with water.

3Add sliced onion, garlic, cloves, bay leaves, rosemary, sliced green pepper, parsley and peppercorns or pepper.

4Cook on top of stove at a slow rolling boil for 3 hours.

5When 1 hour left, add sliced carrots; 15 minutes later add cubed potatoes. The last 15 minutes, add the cabbage, quartered.

6Cook a total of 4 to 5 hours on stove top.

7It is done when a fork goes in the corned beef easily.

8Let meat sit for 15 minutes before carving. Cut against the grain.
