Cornstarch-Based Paint

   Mix cornstarch with cold water to make a smooth thick paste. Stir in boiling water to a desired consistency.

   The mixture should immediately become thick, lose its white appearance and turn fairly clear.

   Spoon the mixture into paint cups or jars. Add liquid tempera and stir.
