Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 lb beef, minced
  • 150 ml beef stock
  • 2 tablespoons tomato ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • salt & pepper
  • 1 12 lbs potatoes, cooked &mashed
  • 12 ounce butter, cut into small pieces

Directions

    Heat the oil in a frying pan.

    Add the onion & fry for 5 minutes.

    Add the beef & fry for 5 mins or until it loses it's pinkness.

    Add the stock,tomato ketchup,worcestershire sauce,herbs,parsley & salt & pepper to taste.

    Cover & simmer for 20 minutes.

    Transfer to a greased ovenproof dish.

    Top with the mashed potatoes & dot over the butter pieces.

    Bake in oven for 30 mins @ 190 degC/375degF or gas mark 5.
