Ingredients
- 3 1/2 to 4 lb. brisket
- 1 Tbsp. powdered orange drink or frozen concentrate
- 1 large onion, minced
- 1/3 c. catsup
- 1 Tbsp. liquid smoke
- 1 1/2 tsp. barbecue seasoning spices (or pepper, cayenne, garlic salt and mild chile pepper)
Directions

1Marinate brisket for at least 1 hour in 1 cup of buttermilk; wipe dry.

2Mix all other ingredients and work into brisket.

3Cook at 275°, uncovered, until done, or wrap in foil and cook at 375° for 3 1/2 hours.

4Pour drippings in gravy boat and serve with meat.
