  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. thinly sliced onion
  • 1/3 c. chopped celery
  • 1 c. (1/2 lb.) crab meat
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 3 eggs
  • 2/3 c. half and half
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pastry shell

Directions

    Saute onion and celery in butter until golden and soft.

    Spoon alternate layers of crab, cheese and onion/celery into pie shell. Beat together eggs, cream, salt and pepper.

    Pour into filled pastry shell.

    Bake in hot oven at 400° until firm, approximately 30 to 40 minutes.
