- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. thinly sliced onion
- 1/3 c. chopped celery
- 1 c. (1/2 lb.) crab meat
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
- 3 eggs
- 2/3 c. half and half
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pastry shell
Directions

1Saute onion and celery in butter until golden and soft.

2Spoon alternate layers of crab, cheese and onion/celery into pie shell. Beat together eggs, cream, salt and pepper.

3Pour into filled pastry shell.

4Bake in hot oven at 400° until firm, approximately 30 to 40 minutes.
