Ingredients

  • 3 qt. popped corn
  • 1/2 c. pecans or peanuts
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. light Karo syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Put popped corn and nuts in a greased pan.

    In a medium pan melt butter.
  3. 3
    Add the brown sugar, salt and syrup.
  4. 4
    Bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat and add the baking soda and vanilla.

    Pour over popcorn and stir with a wooden spoon.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

    Stir every 10 minutes.

    Pour on waxed paper and let cool.
