   Spread the newspaper to protect your work surface.

   Now blow up the balloons.

   Pour glue into the pie pan and immerse long pieces of string in the glue.

   Carefully take the string out of the glue, letting the excess drip off.

   Spread the glued string on the balloon, making a lacy pattern.

   Repeat until the balloon is covered in an attractive design.

   Let the glue dry, then pop the balloon.
