- 2 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 lb. or 2 sticks unsalted butter
- 2 egg yolks
- fruit (apricot, prune butter or nut filling)
- powdered sugar
Directions

1Cream softened cream cheese and butter together.

2Add egg yolks and mix thoroughly.

3Gradually add flour and mix by hand if you wish.

4Divide dough into two large balls.

5Wrap each in waxed paper.

6Chill for several hours or overnight.

7Roll out chilled dough very thin in powdered sugar.

8Cut rolled dough into sections approximately 3 x 3-inches.

9Fill each square with 1 teaspoon of the nut or fruit filling.

10Roll up each square and place on a cold cookie sheet.

11Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Roll cooled Kiffles in powdered sugar.

12Yields 3 to 4 dozen Kiffles.
