- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1/4 c. butter, oleo or salad oil
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs (unbeaten)
Directions

1Start heating the oven to 375°.

2Bring water, butter and salt to boil.

3Add flour all at once, then beat over low heat until mixture leaves sides of pan and forms a compact ball.

4Remove from the heat; continue beating to cool mixture slightly, about 2 minutes.

5Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

6After last egg has been added, beat until mixture has a satinlike sheen.

7Drop 5 or 6 mounds of batter 2 inches apart, swirling top of each mound.
