  • 1/2 lb. butter
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • pepper to taste
  • 4 c. milk (hot)
  • 2 1/2 c. chicken broth
  • 1 c. cream
  • 8 c. shredded, cooked chicken
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 8 egg yolks, diced
  • patty shells or thin toast

Directions

    Melt butter; smooth in the flour, salt and pepper.

    Add the hot milk gradually, stirring constantly.

    Add chicken broth, cream and chicken.

    Heat well and add mushroom soup and diced egg yolks. Serve in patty shells or on thin, crisp toast.
