- 1 medium cabbage
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 3/4 c. (3 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Cut cabbage into 6 wedges.

2Remove core.

3Cover and cook 10 minutes in small amount of lightly salted boiling water.

4Drain well and carefully place wedges in greased 2 quart shallow baking pan.

5Saute pepper and onion in butter until tender; add tomatoes, salt, pepper, and sugar to mixture.

6Simmer for 3 minutes.

7Pour over cabbage.

8Bake 20 minutes at 350°.

9Sprinkle cheese on top and bake until cheese is bubbly.
