- 1 lb. ground beef
- 3 ribs celery, sliced
- 1 green pepper, sliced in rings
- 3 carrots, sliced across
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 tsp. basil
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms
- 1 can tomato soup
- liquid from mushrooms
Directions

1Place half of beef in bottom of shallow, greased casserole. Cover with half of carrots, celery, onions and green pepper slices.

2Sprinkle with half the seasonings.

3Repeat the next layer, beginning with the ground beef; top with mushrooms.

4Mix tomato soup and mushroom juice; pour over all.

5Cover and bake at 350° for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
