- 1/2 c. minced onion
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 bay leaf, crushed
- 1/4 c. diced celery
- 1 tsp. minced parsley
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- dash of cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 2 1/2 c. water
- 2 c. cooked shrimp (two 7 oz. cans)
Directions

1Saute onion in butter.

2Blend in rest of ingredients except shrimp.

3Cook slowly, stirring occasionally, about 30 minutes. Stir in shrimp and heat.

4Serve on hot cooked rice.
