- 8 lb. cukes, sliced
- 2 gal. water
- 2 c. lime
- 2 qt. vinegar
- 5 lb. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 1 oz. pickling spice, tied in cheesecloth
Directions

1Let cukes soak in lime water 24 hours.

2Stir often.

3Wash well and drain.

4Add vinegar, sugar and salt.

5Let set 3 hours.

6Add pickling spice.
-
7Cook about 40 minutes until translucent.

8Seal hot in hot jars.

9Yields 5 quarts.
