  • 1 cup quinoa
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 14 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 12 cup onion, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, diced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 12 jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
  • 12 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 34 cups water
  • 12 cup peas

    If you're using a bulk variety of quinoa that needs rinsing, rinse it in a fine-mesh strainer until the water runs clear.

    You may rub the grains between your palms to expediate the process if you like (or buy a brand that does not require rinsing.

    Over medium heat, heat the oil in a medium saucepan.
