  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 3/4 c. scalded milk
  • 1 unbaked pie shell

Directions

    Combine eggs, sugar, salt, nutmeg and vanilla.

    Add milk; mix well.

    Strain into pie shell.

    Bake in hot oven (450°) for 15 minutes; reduce oven to 350° until center of custard is firm and knife inserted comes out clean.
