  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c. milk (scalded)
  • 9-inch unbaked pastry shell
  • nutmeg

Directions

    Combine first 4 ingredients in mixing bowl.

    Gradually add scalded milk, stirring constantly.

    Pour into pastry shell. Sprinkle with nutmeg.

    Bake in moderate oven (350°) for 35 to 40 minutes or until filling is set.
