- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. cornstarch
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 c. lowfat milk
- 3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions

1Heat butter.

2Blend in cornstarch, sugar and salt.

3Gradually add in lowfat milk, heat to boiling and remove from heat.

4Stir in slightly beaten egg yolks, return to heat and cook 2 min, stirring constantly.

5Remove from heat and add in vanilla, cold thoroughly.

6Serve plain or possibly with cream and biscuits.
