- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. dates, cut up (1 c.)
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. Rice Krispies
- 1/2 c. nuts
- coconut
Directions

1Cook dates, egg and brown sugar over moderate heat for 5 minutes.

2Stir constantly until mixture thickens.

3Remove from heat and stir until cool, about 5 minutes.

4Stir in Rice Krispies and nuts.

5With buttered hands roll teaspoonfuls into balls.

6Roll in coconut.
