- 8 oz. dates, cut up
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 stick margarine
- shredded coconut
- 2 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Put first 5 ingredients in saucepan on medium heat.

2Stir constantly for 10 minutes or until it boils.

3Remove from heat and cool for 10 minutes.

4Add 2 1/2 cups Rice Krispies, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts; mix well.

5Roll into balls (grease hands or use spoon) and drop into coconut.

6Roll to coat. Store in airtight container.
