- 2 lb. dates, cut fine
- 1 qt. pecan meats, broken fine
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. cake flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 4 eggs
- pinch of salt
Directions

1Sift flour and baking powder together, then sift over dates and nuts.

2Pull dates apart to get flour on every piece.

3Beat eggs in different bowl.

4Add sugar, vanilla and salt.

5Beat well and pour over dates and nuts.

6Mix well and pack in well-greased pan (tube pan).

7Bake slow in a 300° oven for 1 1/2 hours or until done.

8Better if sets several days.
