  • 1 12 ounce. dates, grnd or possibly cut fine
  • 1 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon soda
  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar packed
  • 2 sm. Large eggs
  • 7 1/2 tbsp. butter
  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr in flour
  • 3/4 c. walnuts, minced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

    Add in boiling water and soda to the dates.

    Let stand till other ingredients are ready.

    Mix other ingredients and add in date mix.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 40 min.
