- 6 deer steaks
- 1 1/2 c. dry red wine
- 1/2 c. wine vinegar
- 3/4 c. olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 Tbsp. minced onion
- 1 bay leaf, crushed
- 1 can mushrooms
- salt and lemon pepper to taste
Directions

1Mix all the ingredients, except the deer and mushrooms, in a large pot.

2Add steaks and marinate in refrigerator 6 hours.

3If the meat is frozen, do not defrost, just increase the marinating time by at least 2 hours.

4Cook the steaks on a grill over hot coals for about 4 minutes on each side or until doneness, basting with marinating sauce several times.

5Heat the mushrooms in butter for a steak topping.
