  • 2 cups wheat
  • water
  • salt
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 9 limes
  • 3 tomatoes chopped
  • 2 bell peppers finely diced
  • 3 carrots finely chopped
  • 1/2 bunch coriander chopped
  • serrano chili seeded and deveined
  • 2 avocados ripe, sliced
  • tostada shells

    Soak the wheat overnight in 4 cups water.

    The following day, change the water and cook in water with salt for 40 minutes. Strain and let it cool.

    Separately, place the onion and the juice of 3 limes in a small bowl to marinate for 1 hour.

    Place the wheat in a large bowl. Add the tomato, bell pepper, carrot, coriander, chili, and the rest of the lime juice. Mix.

    Remove the onion from the lime juice it has marinated in and add the lime juice to the wheat mixture. Add salt as needed.

    Add the avocado slices and mix carefully. Place on tostada shells and serve.
