- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 c. cream-style cottage cheese
- 1/4 c. Crisco
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. dry onion
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 2 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Heat cottage cheese, Crisco and sugar in small pan until warm. Stir in soda.

2Add yeast and onion, softened in warm water.

3Add egg last.

4Add flour, a little at a time, until you have used 2 cups.

5Leave the last 1/2 cup to knead the mixture for 5 minutes. Let rise until doubled in size.

6Punch down and put in greased loaf pan.

7Let rise until doubled in bulk.

8Bake for 30 to 45 minutes in a 350° oven.
