- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 1 c. cottage cheese, heated to warm
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. grated onion or 1 Tbsp. minced dry onion
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 tsp. dill seed
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 egg
- 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Soften yeast in lukewarm water.

2Combine in mixing bowl with all ingredients, except flour.

3Stir in flour; knead well.

4Let rise in warm place until doubled in bulk (about 60 minutes). Punch down and knead again.

5Form into loaf; place in greased and floured 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.

6Let rise in warm place for 30 minutes.

7Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.

8Makes 1 large loaf.
