Dill Cucumber Pickles

Ingredients

  • 2 or 3-inch fresh cucumbers
  • fresh dill
  • 1 qt. white vinegar
  • 1 c. pure granulated salt
  • 1/2 tsp. turmeric
  • few bay leaves

Directions

    Scrub cucumbers; rinse well and dry on paper towels.

    Pack in 7-quart jars and add 1 or 2 heads dill to each jar.

    Bring remaining ingredients to boil in 3 quarts water (preferably distilled).

    Fill jars to within 1/2-inch of top.
  5. 5
    Seal as manufacturer directs and process in boiling water for 10 minutes.
