  • 2 qt. cider vinegar
  • 2 qt. water
  • 1 c. salt
  • cucumbers
  • alum
  • fresh dill or dill seed
  • garlic cloves

Directions

    Pack cucumbers in quart jars.

    To each jar, add 1 teaspoon dill seed, 1/4 teaspoon alum and 2 cloves garlic.

    Heat salt, water and vinegar to boiling.

    Pour into jars. Seal.
