- 1 large Spanish onion, sliced in thin rings
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dill weed
- 1/2 c. white vinegar
- 1/4 c. water
Directions

1Slice onions in rings and separate each one.

2Place in large neck jar or bowl that can be covered.

3Make brine of sugar, salt, vinegar and water.

4Bring to rolling boil for 2 to 3 minutes. Cool and pour over onion rings.

5Cover and let stand overnight or longer in refrigerator.

6Stir or shake them every once in a while.
