- 2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. white Karo syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 egg whites
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Place sugar, syrup and water in same saucepan and cook to 248°.

2Remove from heat and let temperature drop to 220°, without stirring.

3Place egg whites in bowl and whip to soft peak.

4Add syrup at medium speed for about 2 1/2 minutes. Turn to high speed and whip 20 to 25 minutes or until it begins to dry.

5Drop from greased spoon onto a greased platter.

6(Candy thermometer a must and beating time important for best results.)
