Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. rolled oats
  • 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 3 c. applesauce
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 c. raisins or chopped dates
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Directions

    Stir together dry ingredients well, including sugar.

    Mix applesauce, eggs, oil, raisins and nuts; stir into dry ingredients.

    Mix only until blended.

    Pour into lined muffin cups (fill 1/2 full) and bake at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes.
