- 6 slices bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. water
- 1/4 c. cider vinegar
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 medium cabbage, cut into 6 wedges
- 2 tsp. salt
Directions

1In a 10-inch skillet, cook bacon until crisp.

2Remove bacon and drain on paper towels.

3Discard all but 1 tablespoon drippings from skillet.

4Add onion and saute until golden.

5Sprinkle in flour and sugar; stir until smooth.

6Stir in remaining ingredients, except cabbage.

7Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.

8Return bacon to skillet; keep warm.
