- 1 stick butter, melted
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. self-rising flour
- 1 c. buttermilk
- fruit (1 can peaches in heavy syrup or cherry or apple pie filling)
Directions

1Melt butter. Pour into deep Pyrex or Corning Ware dish.

2Mix next 3 ingredients into paste.

3Spread as evenly as possible over melted butter.

4Spread fruit evenly over this.

5Pour a little of the fruit juice over it (reserve some juice).

6Cook about 1 hour at 350° or until top is golden brown (crust rises to top).

7After done, pour more juice evenly over top.
