- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 6 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups scalded milk
- 2 tablespoons Crisco shortening
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

2Mix yeast in water and set aside to dissolve.

3Combine dry ingredients.

4Add milk, shortening, and yeast.

5Pour into two greased 8 x 4 x 3-inch pans.

6Bake for approximately 45 to 50 minutes.
