Ingredients

  • 1 c. white syrup
  • 1 c. water
  • 4 c. white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate
  • 2 Tbsp. paraffin wax

Directions

    Boil syrup, water and sugar until stiff threads form or to 260°.

    Beat until stiff.

    Pour syrup slowly into egg whites and beat until stiff.

    Add vanilla.

    Add coconut, nuts or fruit and mix.

    Shape into eggs.

    When cold, coat with chocolate.

    Melt chocolate pieces and paraffin in double boiler.

    Drop eggs into chocolate mixture to coat.

    Remove from chocolate with two forks. Place on wax paper to cool.
