  • 2 slices bacon, crisp-cooked and crumbled
  • 38 ounces red kidney beans and/or cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 lipton recip secret beefi onion soup mix
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar

Directions

    In 3-quart saucepan, cook bacon over medium-high heat until crisp. Stir in beans and continue cooking, stirring frequently, 1 minute.

    Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil over high heat.

    Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 20 minutes or until thickened.
