Easy Beer Bread

- 3 c. self-rising flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 (12 oz.) can beer, at room temperature
Directions

1Mix flour and sugar; add beer in thirds.

2Batter will foam and make stiff dough.

3Pour into greased bread pan.

4Smooth over top. Bake 1 hour at 350°.

5Upon removing from oven, smear top with butter or margarine (about 1/8 pound).

6Cool on rack.

7Raisins, nuts and cinnamon are optional.
