Easy Upside-Down Cake

- 1 (20 oz.) can pineapple slices in syrup
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 2/3 c. brown sugar, packed
- 10 maraschino cherries
- 1 (16 oz.) pkg. pound cake mix
Directions

1Drain pineapple, reserving 3/4 cup syrup.

2Melt margarine in ovenproof pan (such as an iron skillet).

3Blend in the brown sugar.

6Arrange pineapple in mixture.

7Place a cherry in the middle of each pineapple hole.

8Prepare cake according to directions, replacing milk with pineapple syrup. Pour batter over pineapple.
