- 1 pkg. dry yeast, dissolved in 2 c. warm to hot water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 4 c. self-rising flour
Directions

1Beat egg.

2Mix in sugar and Crisco.

3Add flour. Stir yeast and water and pour into other ingredients.

4Mix with a spoon. Grease muffin pan well. Fill 3/4 full with dough.

5Bake at 400° for 15 minutes or as brown as you like. Store remaining dough in covered bowl in refrigerator.

6It will keep for about a week.
