  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 c. milk
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

    Sift flour and baking powder 3 times and sit aside.

    Cream butter, Crisco and sugar until fluffy.

    Add milk and flour alternately.

    Beat in eggs one at a time.

    Add vanilla.

    Pour into 10-inch tube pan.

    Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until brown.
