- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
- 8 eggs, beaten
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 4 c. unseasoned croutons
- 2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
Directions

1Place butter in an 11 x 7 x 1 1/2-inch baking dish.

2Heat butter in a 325° oven for 5 minutes or until melted, tilting to coat dish; remove from oven.

3Pour croutons over butter; sprinkle cheese over croutons and set aside.

4Combine milk, eggs and mustard; mix well.

5Pour egg mixture over cheese and sprinkle with bacon.

6Bake at 325° for 40 to 50 minutes or until set.

7Let stand at room temperature 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
