  • 6 eggs
  • 1 yeast cake
  • 1 tsp. lemon peel
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. orange peel
  • 1 tsp. orange flavoring
  • 4 c. flour

    Beat eggs.

    Add sugar and beat. Add cooled butter and beat. Add yeast dissolved in 1 cup warm water.

    Add flavoring and orange peel.

    Add flour, one cup at a time.

    Knead. Cover and let rise until double in size.

    Bake at 325° on third shelf until golden in color, about 25 minutes.
