  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. Crisco
  • 1 1/2 c. warm potato water
  • 1 c. mashed potatoes
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. dry yeast

Directions

    Mix sugar and Crisco.

    Add potato water and mashed potatoes. Beat eggs.

    Add to mixture along with the remaining ingredients. Cover with towel.

    Let rise until doubled in size.

    Punch down. Knead and make into rolls.

    Cover rolls with butter (lightly). Cover pans with towel.

    Let rise.

    Bake at 350° until golden brown.
