  • 6 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 unbaked pie shell

    Scald the milk.

    Mix together the eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt.

    Stir the milk gradually into the egg mixture.

    Strain into the pie shell.

    Bake at 450° for 10 minutes, then reduce the heat to 325° and bake until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
