  • 5 slightly beaten eggs
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp. almond extract
  • 2 1/2 c. scalded milk
  • nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 frozen, 9-inch, deep-dish pie shell

Directions

    Blend eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla and almond extracts. Gradually stir in scalded milk. Pour mixture into chilled, unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake at 400° for 25 to 30 minutes. Pie is done when knife inserted comes out clean.
