- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 4 c. milk
- 1/2 c. whipped cream
- 2 egg whites
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. rum flavoring
- ground nutmeg
Directions

1Beat 1/3 cup sugar into egg yolks.

2Add salt.

3Stir in milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture coats spoon.

4Cool.

5Beat egg whites until foamy.

6Gradually add 3 tablespoons sugar, beating until it forms soft peaks.

7Add to custard and mix thoroughly.

8Add vanilla and rum flavoring.

9Chill 3 to 4 hours.

10Pour into punch bowl or cups.

11Dot with islands of whipped cream and dash with nutmeg.
