- 2 egg yolks
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 4 c. milk
- 2 egg whites
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- ground nutmeg
- whipped cream
Directions

1Beat 1/3 cup sugar into egg yolks.

2Add salt; stir in milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture coats spoon.

3Cool.

4Beat egg whites until foamy.

5Gradually add 3 tablespoons sugar, beating to soft peaks.

6Add to custard and mix thoroughly.

7Add vanilla.

8Chill 3 or 4 hours.

9Pour into punch bowl or cups.

10Serve with whipped cream and nutmeg.
