  • 12 eggs, separated
  • 4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 6 qt. milk
  • 1 1/2 pt. cream or half and half
  • 1 1/2 c. whiskey (optional)
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Beat egg yolks until lemon colored.

    Beat in sugar and salt. Slowly add whiskey, cream, nutmeg and milk.

    Fold in well beaten egg whites.

    Makes 2 gallons.
