- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Dissolve chocolate in 5 teaspoons boiling water.

2Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, mixing well.

3Mix flour and baking powder.

4Add alternately with milk; mix thoroughly.

5Stir in vanilla.

6Grease three layer cake pans.

7Bake at 350°
