Ingredients
- 2 c. fresh or frozen green peas
- 1/4 c. chopped scallions or onion
- 3/4 c. mayonnaise or Miracle Whip
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 head iceberg lettuce
- 2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
- 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 8 slices lean bacon, cooked and crumbled
Directions

1Steam peas in a small amount of water until tender, about 3 minutes.

2Remove core from lettuce.

3Wash and pat dry.

4With a sharp knife, shred lettuce into 1/4-inch slices.

5In a glass bowl, place the ingredients in this order: lettuce, scallions and green pepper.

6Spread top with mayonnaise and sprinkle with sugar, Cheddar cheese and bacon.

7Cover tightly with plastic wrap. Refrigerate at least 8 hours.
